I love being an academic family physician and strive to excel in four arenas: teaching, scholarship, patient care, and administration/leadership. My goal as an academic leader is to influence the educational environment and other educators to strive toward excellence in education. My focus on education is the development of the "scholarly family physician." Although my clinical interests include the full spectrum of family medicine, I particularly enjoy diabetes mellitus, travel medicine, women's and men's health issues, and obstetrics.
