Mahasti Rittinger is a Clinical Program Manager for Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus Ohio. She works closely with the thoracic surgery department and the surgeons performing lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS). Mahasti is responsible for all aspects of the LVRS program including patient selection and care, arranging all initial and follow up visits (pre and post operatively), as well as administrative tasks to maintain and improve optimum patient care and satisfaction within our health care system. Her other responsibilities include coordination of certain trials involving COPD patients, such as (currently) Long Term Oxygen Treatment Trial (LOTT), and (previously) the Intra Bronchial Valve (IBV) study. Mahasti has published articles in the journals Expert Review of Respiratory Medicine and Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
