Dr. James Lalumandier is a public health dentist who primarily is involved in preventing dental disease through clinical outreach programs and research. He is Chair and Associate Professor of the Department of Community Dentistry at the School of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Lalumandier is involved in several large scale outreach programs, e.g., the Healthy Smiles Sealant Program provides free dental care annually to over 5,000 school children in the Cleveland Municipal School District. He is also involved with research around prevention to include fluorides, fluoridation and sealants. Dr. Lalumandier has published widely in both the dental and medical literature. He received his bachelor’s degree from Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH; his DDS degree from Georgetown University, Washington, DC; and his MPH from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Lalumandier is a dipolmate of the American Board of Dental Public Health.
