In 1997, Dr. Lee Ponsky Received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and began his training in Urology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In 2003, he completed his residency and extended his training to do a research fellowship in Urologic Oncology for one year, followed by an additional one-year fellowship in advanced urologic laparoscopy and endourology.

After completing his formal training, Dr. Ponsky joined the Department of Urology at Case. He is an associate professor, Director of the Center for Urologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Therapies, and the Co-Director of the Institute for Surgery and Innovation.

Dr. Ponsky also contributes his medical expertise to perform public service as a volunteer. He is the Founder and President of MedWish International, a non-profit organization that collects unused medical supplies from area hospitals and makes them available to people traveling to developing countries.
