Neil J. Korman, MD, PhD, is a professor of Dermatology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also the director of the Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit. In addition, Dr. Korman serves as the clinical director of the Murdough Family Center for Psoriasis, a comprehensive psoriasis research, education, and treatment program. |
Dr. Korman earned his medical degree and doctorate in biomedical engineering at Case Western. His postdoctoral training included a medical internship and dermatology residency at UHC and an immunodermatology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Korman is board certified in dermatology and holds subspecialty board certification in dermatological immunology/diagnostic and laboratory immunology. He is a member of the American Dermatologic Association, the Psoriasis Expert Resource Group of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Medical Advisory Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Korman is the founding Director of the Regional Center for Immunobullous Diseases.
Dr. Korman has published over 130 articles in the peer-reviewed literature. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery and the Latin American Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis and also serves as the Associate Editor of Psoriasis Forum.
Dr. Korman is a reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals. Since 1997, he has been the principal or co-principal investigator in more than 100 clinical trials, most of which involve psoriasis. Dr. Korman is a regular speaker at local, national and international scientific meetings.
