Programs:

• Tobacco Cessation Clinic
  This clinic provides individual counseling and personal follow-up for those who wish to stop smoking or stop using any form of tobacco. Individuals may refer themselves to the Clinic or be referred by their dentist, dental hygienist, physician, nurse, or other health care professional.
• The Geriatric Dental Clinic
  The Geriatric Dental Clinic provides comprehensive dental services to all patients: biannual oral examination and radiography, preventive dentistry, including cleaning, prophy and fluoride treatment, treatment of mouth diseases and oral conditions, such as dry mouth, restorative dentistry (fillings), extraction of unrestorable teeth, replacement of missing teeth with complete or partial dentures. Many dental insurance programs are accepted in addition to Medicaid.
• The Nursing Home Program
  This extramural geriatric dentistry program provides dental care to residents of 21 nursing homes. Over 1800 patient visits are completed annually, where senior dental students provide comprehensive treatment to nursing home residents.
• Appalachian Geriatric Dental Program
  This weekly outreach program provides dental care to an underserved elderly population in 10 counties of the Appalachian region of southeastern Ohio.
• Oral Health Promotion Program
  This program aims to increase oral health awareness among seniors through monthly visits to senior centers in Franklin County, Ohio, where health assessment needs, oral cancer screening, and instruction in maintaining good oral health and dental care are provided.
