Blood glucose

This test measures the amount of glucose in your blood.

A high blood glucose may mean your body can’t keep the amount of glucose at a constant level.

Hemoglobin A1C

This test helps to show how constant the level of glucose is in the body over time.

Hemoglobin is a component of blood cells and can become covered with glucose particles if there is too much glucose in the blood instead of inside the cells.
