Community Health Charities of Ohio is an organization that aims to raise monetary contributions in the workplace. Donations from employees are used to support charities and provide funds for research and outreach in local communities of Ohio. These donations can be designated to specific charities.

Community Health Charities of Ohio partners with local employers in order to introduce employees to information, volunteer opportunities, and chances to donate. The Ohio chapter currently sponsors around 71 local charities.

Donate Life Ohio

Donate Life Ohio is a program that encourages people to donate organs and tissue. The website gives information about what parts of the body can be donated, along with information about people in need of donations, and locations of donation centers in the Ohio area.

Donate Life Ohio also offers educational resources and chances to get involved. Their goal is to shine a light on those people and their families who are currently waiting for donations, along with those who died waiting for a transplant.

Healthy Homes Program

The Healthy Homes Program aims to inform and protect inhabitants of the Columbus and Worthington area about common household dangers. Some services include lead poisoning prevention, free lead testing for young children, and hazardous product storage, along with many others.

How Healthy is Your Country is an interactive website that allows you to find your particular state and county and compare its healthiness to other counties and states. The site uses a ranking system that focuses on specific factors that can be improved in order to make communities healthier places to live.

Lifeline of Ohio

Lifeline of Ohio is a website designed to encourage Ohioans to be organ and tissue donors. The site has statistics and stories of both those who are waiting for transplants and those who have had successful transplants. The website also has an interactive aid that shows how organ and tissue transplants work, along with a list of events that Ohioans can participate in.

Ohio Best Rx

Ohio Best Rx is a program for residents of Ohio that do not have drug insurance coverage. The program involves a prescription drug discount that is supposed to decrease the costs related to prescriptions.

The program applies if the resident is:

1. Over the age of 60, or
2. Under the age of 60 with an annual income that comes in below the poverty level

The website provides online applications, information about the program, prices of certain drugs, and other information.

Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission

The Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission's goal is to find employment for people with disabilities. The group wishes to allow Ohioans with disabilities to be both independent and self-sufficient. The site offers many services such as personal care assistance, rehabilitation technology, and many others. It also has sections specifically catered to those looking for jobs and those looking for independent living opportunities.

Ohio Vision Resources and Services Guide

This guide will assist you in finding an eye doctor, prescription assistance, rehabilitation services, educational materials, and access to low or no cost eye exams! It is provided by Ohio's Aging Eye Public Private Partnership (AEPPP), a statewide collaboration formed to respond to the growth of aging eye challenges in Ohio.

Prevent Blindness Ohio

Prevent Blindness Ohio (PBO) is a volunteer nonprofit health organization whose focus is to prevent blindness while preserving sight. PBO serves all 88 Ohio counties and provides direct services that educate their viewers about what they can do to protect their sight.

The website provides not only information about eye health and safety, but also vision screening and programs, eye reports, research, and studies, and the Eye CAN action center. Eye CAN is the group's Eye Care Action Network.

Rx for Ohio

Rx for Ohio is an organization whose purpose is to help residents of Ohio that are uninsured or have low incomes. The program helps these people access programs which may qualify them for free or greatly reduced prices on prescription medicine. The site offers assistance to Spanish-speaking individuals, along with contact information for the program and resources.

The Healthy Ohio Program

The Healthy Ohio Program is a comprehensive website dedicated to the health of Ohioans. Ohio programs and activities consist of healthy lifestyles, health equity, chronic disease prevention, healthy Ohio business council, violence and injury prevention, and organ donation. The website also displays events that are going on throughout the month that promote healthy living in Ohio.
