This television show chronicles the experiences of three patients who suffer from chronic pain and in telling their stories explains what happens to the body when it experiences pain; how chronic pain develops; and what remedies are available for treatment. The show presents the problems surrounding the use of narcotics in this country and the growing acceptance of adding complementary and alternative medicine such as acupuncture to treatment regimens. The show also features an in-studio discussion panel between two experts and producer Kay Colby.
