Dr. Dalvi,Can you please tell me how stress effects PD and its symptoms? Do you know of any reference material on this subject?
Specifically, how do you think police work would impact PD?

Stress of any kind can aggravate symptoms of PD. Thus patients can have their tremor provoked by a bout of anxiety or have more on-off fluctuations when suffering from a viral infection. It is hard to think of specific references in this regard, this is very much a generally accepted fact. In light of the above, any high-stress occupation can certainly make coping with PD difficult when the disease is in a more advanced stage.
