Pregnancy after Abortion11/21/1999 |
I recently had an abortion on 10/15/99. I had sex almost two weeks later but used a spermicide. Is there any chance of getting pregnant right after an abortion? Also, when should I receive my first period?
It is possible to become pregnant shortly after an abortion. It is more likely that you have not had your period since the procedure. It may take up to 8 weeks to have your period start after any type of pregnancy (abortion, miscarriage, ectopic or delivery).If there is any doubt in your mind I suggest you see your physician who can do a pregnancy test.
