How to control frequent flareups in lupus?
Per: My Physician/dx in 95` 1. Definite diag., Fibromyalgia. 2. Criteria meets significant areas with in Lupus (Systemic). *I have been told by my Physician, that my ANA has been one of the highest he has ever seen in his practice. Almost daily, I am symptamatic to the above dx`s. Any suggestions, How to keep from having so many flare-up`s from this illness? On an average, I would say I am sick in bed 50% of the month.
Symptoms that are secondary to fibromyalgia are best treated with both stretching and strenghtening exercises in addition to aerobic exercises. Flares often respond to symptomatic measures such as heat, massage or relaxation techniques. Treatment of lupus flares depends on the severity of the disease and the type of organs that are involved in the disease process.
