Incontinence |
What is the Burch Procedure?12/13/1999 |
My doctor talked to me about a surgical procedure for urinary incontinence. It is done as a laparoscopic surgery. He mentioned something about the Burch procedure. Can you give me more information?
A Burch procedure is an operation to correct urinary incontinence in women. The procedure can be performed as an open operation (incision) or laparascopically (the use of small probes through small incisions). The procedure is widely used and has a high success rate.I hope this information is helpful to you.
