Could you give me some information on Grave`s disease?
Graves` Disease is a thyroid disease that usually results in hyperthyroidism. This may be caused by the body`s immune system attacking the thyroid gland. Symptoms are varied, but mainly relate to an increased heart rate and elevated blood pressure. Blood testing and imaging studies can confirm the diagnosis. Treatment can be a combination of medicine, surgery, and radioactive iodine. Treatment decisions are based on each individual case as determined by the patients doctor. Patients who suspect they may have Graves` disease should see their doctor.
