Why would a periodontist recommend "osseous surgery"? Is osseous surgery ever performed for conditions other than gum disease? Can you explain exactly what osseous surgery is?
Osseous surgery is a surgical procedure performed on bone and overlying tissue. It may be necessary to perform such procedures to treat certain types of Periodontal Disease or to have an Implant procedure performed. Please consult with your Periodontist for further details.
