Menopause and PD01/31/2000 |
What effect does menopause have on PD progression, symptoms, meds, etc. Is there any informaion on PD and menopause that I could read before agreeing to starting HRT which has been suggested by my GP.
Menopause can cause mild worsening of PD symptoms. HRT is not contraindicated in PD. Some research suggests that HRT may, in fact, be of some benefit in this setting.
