How dangerous is it for a pregnant women to smoke? Is nicotine replacement safer than smoking for the baby? Are there special smoking cessation programs/materials for pregnant women?
Please see the previous posts regarding smoking in pregnancy. There are special programs and literature for smoking cessation in pregnancy. Your obstetrician can lead you to the appropriate smoking cessation classes and literature available in your area. The pregnancy experts may be able to provide more information so I will forward your question to them too. Please also refer to the previously answered questions on smoking and pregnancy under the smoking cessation topic.
