Gall Bladder & Body Odor03/20/2000 |
4 years ago my husband had his Gall Bladder removed. Since then it seems he has a body odor that wasn`t there before. Could it be because it was removed? Is the Gall Bladder used for a filter of some sort? Do you have any suggestions on what I can do? I have switched soaps, shampoo`s and deodorants. Nothing works.
This could be due to a pancreatic infection. I would consult your internist or surgeon. I had a similar case approximately a year ago and it turned out the patient had a low grade pancreatic infection. After treatment with the appropriate antibiotic, the body odor went away. This is not an allergy related problem. Good Luck.
