What are the symptoms of endometriosis?

Answer:

The symptoms of endometriosis are varied and not specific to just endometriosis. Generally speaking, pelvic pain that occurs prior to your period and ends at or near the onset of your period. Pain during intercourse, bowel movements and infertility are also symptoms of endometriosis. The problem is that many women with the same symptoms don`t have endometriosis. A diagnositic laparoscopy (surgical procedure to look into the abdomen) is the definitive way to make a diagnosis, but this isn`t required in everyone. Many are treated medically and if they respond, do not need to have surgery to make the diagnosis.
