What is the status of current research on the association of veteran service in the Pacific, particulary Quam, in relation to PD?
I suppose you are referring to Guam. There is a movement disorder with some features of Parkinsonism that is seen in the population of Guam. It is best characterized as a multiple system atrophy variant, which itself is a variant of the Parkinson Plus syndromes. It is not Idiopathic Parkinson`s Disease so service in Guam has no relationship to developing the disease unless you are a native of Guam.
