What is the difference between ADD and ADHD?
Most people, medical and non-medical, use the terms interchangeably. I prefer Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), since so many with the problems do not have hyperactivity, with one of the following sub-headings: Hyperactive Type, Inattentive Type, or Combined Type (hyperactive AND inattentive). Many use those same sub-headings but under the term Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
