My husband is a smoker and I know he`ll probably never quit, therefore what can my children and myself do about protecting ourselves in the house, especially in the wintertime when I can`t open the window. He`s of the mind that it`s his house too, so he`ll smoke if he wants to. Would an air purifer help us?
Of course, the best intervention would be for your husband to quit smoking, or at least go outside to smoke. I can`t find any good information on the value of air purifiers to reduce the medical effects on nonsmokers, but it`s a reasonable thing to do. Other tips are listed in the web site below.
