10/31/2000

Question:

Does plaquenil make myasthenia gravis worse? I have lupus and Myasthenia and thought when I took it before that I had trouble with talking and swollowing.

Answer:

I reviewed the standard references on drugs and myasthenia. There is no mention of plaquenil. You should review the problem with your doctors.
