What is the date set for a "National smoke-free day" or similar name?
The "Great American Smokeout" is Thursday, November 16. It is typically the Thursday before Thanksgiving and is a national reminder to smokers to consider not smoking for the day. Being successful for one day may give an individual confidence in continuing the effort to remain smoke-free.
