Changing agonists.11/25/2000 |
If changing agonists e.g Permax to Mirapex how should the phasing out/introduction be handled. Present dose of Permax is 3mg. daily.
In my own practice I follow a method of direct dose for dose substitution. 1 mg of Mirapex replaces 1 mg of Permax. In a study, complete switching of the dose was compared with a cross taper and the former was found to result in a quicker adjustment of the dose.
