HIV and AIDS
Facts On The AIDS Virus
Can you give me some facts about the AIDS virus?
Facts about AIDS: AIDS is caused by the Human Immuniodeficiency Virus(HIV). It is transmitted by contact with infected blood, by having sex with an infected person, or via a mother to her unborn fetus during pregnancy or delivery. You connot contract HIV by casual contact or kissing. AIDS continues to be a major public health problem, with increasing numbers of women and persons of color being infected. I'd be happy to try to answer any more specific questions that you might have.
