Pink Eye

12/13/2000

Question:

What are the symptoms of Pink Eye?

Answer:

Pink eye patients usually report redness, tearing, light sensitivity, and a scratchy feeling.

If the pink eye is caused by a bacteria, there will also be pus formation which causes the eyelashes to stick together. But if it is caused by an allergic reaction, there will be some itching. Pink eye can also be caused by viruses.

The treatment for pink eye depends upon its cause; and only an eye doctor can make the definitive diagnosis.
