Lupus

Abnormalities in Urine / Lupus / Sjogren`s

12/29/2000

Question:

My Urine test came out abnormal. There is a large amount of Bilirubin, Bacteria, some Calcium Oxalate and many Amorphous Urate Crystals. Combine these findings with my difficulty in urinating, and the positive ANA hi Titer Homogeneous Pattern. Am I looking at stage one of Kindney or Liver Malfunction. Would a sulfer based antibiotic clear this up or should I start Prednisone again.

Answer:

These test results are not suggestive of activation of lupus in kidneys. You should seek opinion from your Doctor about the medicines for your current situation.
