The question I have is what types of vaginosis causes infertility? I have had vaginosis twice last year, and both times treated with antiboitics. My partner and I have been unable to conceive for a year and a half now, (I have been previously pregnant before, my son is 7)would this disease play a factor?
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is not associated with infertility.Genital infections that do increase infertility include gonorrhea, chlamydia and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). These infections can cause damage to the fallopian tubes and prevent travel of the egg into the uterus. There is also an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy.
