Alternative Medications to Ritalin06/01/2001 |
I have a child with ADHD who is 11 and hearing impaired and it seems that the medcine he is on seems to not be working on him anymore is there any other medcince besides Ritalin that would be better for him?
I do not know your child but keep in mind that the most common reason for any stimulant medication, including Ritalin, to `stop working` in children is that the dose has not been increased appropriately as the child ages and grows. Thus, I urge you to revisit your child`s physician. In addition, please see my answer to the other question sent today (5/31/01) since it was quite similar.
