Prostate Surgery08/06/2001 |
My husband recently had surgery to correct an enlarged prostate. The surgery only complicated the problem; because now we are told the semen goes into his bladder rather than out through his penis during intercourse.Is there any corrective measure for this?.
We were dismissed by his doctor and told this was a perfectly safe and normal occurence.
Who could we trust to give us a second opinion?
Unfortunately, the semen going back into the bladder occurs in every case of prostate saving surgery. It is called retrograde ejaculation. It is not dangerous and should not interfere with sexual activity. The orgasm should be the same, just that there will be a "dry" ejaculate. This is not dangerous at all.
