Throat Closing Sensations09/05/2001 |
What would cause what feels to be that my throat is closing and I cannot fully breathe? I acually feel like I am gasping for air. It happens for about 10 minutes and usally about twice a week on average.
Throat closing sensation can be due to a number of things. If it is `angioedema` or soft tissue swelling, medications and foods in addition to other chronic disorders need to be excluded. Acid reflux and post nasal drainage may give this sensation as well. I would see an allergist for further evaluation of this problem immediately.
