Where can I find more information about asthma?
For more information on asthma go to the links below. Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the lungs that is very treatable. Treatment includes; 1) proper assessment and monitoring of lung function and indoor environments; 2)avoidance of triggers that cause asthma; 3) proper pharmacologic therapy which includes anti-inflammatory agents such as inhaled corticosteroids and agents that relax airway smooth muscle and finally; 4) education which is essential for making patients aware of what asthma is and improving compliance with avoidance, medications and office visits. This later approach requires changing patient behavior to improve clinical outcomes.
