How many people have phobias and where can I get statistics on people with phobias in the us?

Answer:

Phobias, especially simple phobias (fear of the dark, fear of dogs etc) are exceedingly common. Illnesses such as social phobia or panic disorder are prevalent in the US population which varies by age and sex, to roughly 10-20% of all citizens for all anxiety illness categories.
