Melatonion in myasthenics

Question:

Is melatonin contraindicated in MG patients? The label says it shouldn`t be used by those with auto-immune problems.

Answer:

Response from Dr. Quinlan: I am unsure of the safety of melatonin.

Response from Dr. Kaminski: I am not aware of any problems for MG patients but this has not been formally tested.
