12/27/2001

Question:

i`m treating a 5 m. old girl with MG.please can you tell me the expected prognosis & role of P.T.in such early age

Answer:

Please review answers to similar questions regarding physical therapy available on this website. In general the prognosis for myasthenia gravis is good and in particular for juvenile onset patients. MG at such a young age (5 months) is rare. You should be sure the patient does not have a congenital myasthenia.
