Fast weight gain

Question:

Hi, I`m a 45y old male, 1m80, 78k, who, between his 18 and last year, always weighed 72 – 74 k. For the past 8 months, whenever I have a couple of glasses of wine on a daily basis for over a week, I take on cms around the hips and 5 kilos or more in no time. Doctors tell me it is age-related. Could it be this has got to do with my bad kidneys (IgAN) or the nodule that was discovered on my thyroid last September ? Thanks

Answer:

It sounds like you`re asking for a specific diagnosis, which is more than I can provide online. Only a detailed history and physical exam by a healthcare professional can provide enough information to make a specific diagnosis. Please discuss your concerns with your healthcare provider.
