How long after an individual stops smoking does it take for the blood stream/body to have no trace of nicotine?
The half-life of nicotine in humans is about 2 hours; that means that half of the nicotine present in the bloodstream is metabolized every 2 hours. There would be no detectable level in 24 hours. Please see the web site for additional details.
