Prostate Cancer

Lumps Found in Testicle and Surrounding Area

My boyfriend is 37 years old. He has 3 lumps that we found. Two are at the base of the penis and the third in near his left testicle. He had these checked out approx a year ago. At that time he had an ultrasound and the doctor told him it was nothing to worry about that these cysts were normal. I have never heard of this type of condition and there was no biopsy preformed at his last exam. Over the past few months the lumps at the base of his penis have become larger. Is this normal? Was the doctor correct by saying that these types of things are normal without furter testing?

There can be cysts in the scrotum that are benign and of no concern after they have been evaluated. If they are changing in size or become symptomatic I suggest your boyfriend consults with a physician again.
