Evista and Blood Thinning09/04/2002 |
I have been on Evista for 3 years and on Fosamax for 1 year. I notice that whenever I get a tiny cut(like a paper cut), I bleed very easily. Does Evista have a blood thinning effect? If so, should I avoid taking aspirin occasionally?
Evista is not reported to cause blood thinning. It is known to increase the risk of blood clots in the legs and lungs. An occasional aspirin should not be a problem.
