Smoking and Tobacco

Herbal Cigarettes

09/20/2002

Question:

I have tried to quit smoking several times using "the patch." I find the patch works great to reduce my physiological need to smoke however I cannot overcome the psychological need. Would smoking herbal cigarettes, or other non-nicotine cigarettes, in conjunction with the patch be a feasible method to eventually quit smoking altogether? Thank you.

Answer:

Smoking non-nicotine cigarettes is still dangerous to your health; how about asking your doctor for a prescription for a nicotine inhaler that could help you with both the physiological as well as psychological needs.
