Herpes misdiagnosis?11/25/2002 08:37AM |
Have not received test results, but have been diagnosed with "classic" genital herpes. Neither my husband nor I have ever had intercourse with anyone else. How could this be herpes? Anything else with similar symptoms?
The is a pretty complex question that cannot be answered easily here. Some of the issues involved here involve whether the diagnosis of herpes is correct, the different types of herpes, ways of transmitting herpes, and sexual practices. These issues are unsettling and are better dealt with in a one on one situation. I suggest you speak with your gynecologist or primary care physician, who can better answer your questions.
