Why did so many people die due to the Influenza epidemic in 1918?
A variety of causes- poor nutrition, over crowded living conditions, poor sanitation, and a large number of susceptible persons. In addition, periodically worldwide epidemics occur with impact on large numbers of persons (pandemics).
