Myasthenia Gravis

Synthroid and Mestinon

02/07/2003

Question:

In a previous question about taking Mestinon and CellCept you reply that you recommend spacing the dosage for absortion purposes. I take Synthroid (for hypothyroidism) in the morning along with my Mestinon. Should these medications be spaced apart?

Answer:

If your doctor has checked your thyroid levels and they are normal, then you should be absorbing synthroid appropriately and Mestinon is not interfering.
