Neurological Damage after Near Fatal MI.
Can a brief death then resuscitation from a massive MI cause any neurological damage? If so, what would that be?
The resuscitation from a massive MI can possibly cause neurological damage due to anoxia, or a lack of oxygen to the brain, which can lead to the death of brain cells. Individuals with anoxia often will have memory and thinking problems.
