Polarized lenses vs UV Protection07/25/2003 12:32PM |
I want to buy a new pair of over-the-counter sunglasses for use on a boat. I have purchased "polarized" lenses in the past and find them to be great for glare. Now it seems that most glasses offer "100% UV protection." I don`t think that`s the same as polarized but I`m not sure. What`s your recommendation?
Polaroid lenses are great for reducing glare from the sun shining off water, sand, and snow. But they do not protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The best solution is to buy a "100% UV protection" clip-on that fits over your polaroid lenses.
