Is There a Connection Between Statin Drug and Vitamin E in Causing Low HDL?

01/13/2005

Question:

Is there a connection between statin drug and vitamin E in causing low HDL?

Answer:

Statin drugs increase HDL, and vitamin E may inhibit the oxidation of LDL, but I found no evidence that it either lowers or raises the HDL.
