Gynecology

After ablation surgery

10/02/2003

Question:

Two weeks ago, I had a Hysteroscopy Ablation procedure done. My question is this:

Why am I still having to deal with the watery, lightly colored discharge? Is this normal?

Answer:

There are a variety of ablation procedures being done. They all have varying amounts of vaginal discharge. What you are experiencing may be normal. Signs of an abnormality may be vaginal itching, abdominal pain, fever or tenderness. You should consult the surgeon who performed the procedure to determine if this is expected.
