Nipple discharge01/07/2004 |
My boyfriend who`s only 24 years of age noticed a possy/watery discharge from his nipples. Is this normal? It has only occurred once. What should he do?
Thank you for your question. Nipple discharge can be normal for women when the nipple is squeezed. Discharge is not normal when the discharge comes out without squeezing the nipple, or when the discharge is only from one nipple. There are several causes of nipple discharge such as cancer or non-cancer irritations or infection. Please encourage your friend to see a doctor for a diagnosis as soon as possible. It is important for him to know why the discharge has occurred.
