Could you please tell me the approximate number of tendon tumors in the hand that are malignant? Also, would that type of hand tumor grow larger as time goes on?
I believe this would be best answered by your physician. If you or a relative have a tumor on a tendon in your hand, this would have to be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine whether it was malignant. Not all tumors that continue to grow are necessarily malignant, but they may still cause problems by pinching a nerve or restricting motion of the joints. A careful evaluation will let you know whether anything needs to be done to correct this.
